El Xbox Game Pass de PlayStation no sería como el de Microsoft
Según los rumores filtrados en las últimas horas, Sony estaría preparando su propia versión de Xbox Game Pass. El servicio de Microsoft se ha convertido en uno de los grandes referentes de la marca en los últimos años; tanto por la cantidad de juegos que ofrece, como por su precio, sumado como EA Play y que todas las exclusivas de Microsoft están en el servicio desde el primer día. No sería extraño, mirando las cifras de Xbox Game Pass, que Sony estuviera preparando su contraataque al servicio. Sin embargo, según algunos rumores, el Xbox Game Pass de PlayStation No sería como el de Microsoft, sino más parecido a servicios como Apple One.
Como ha comentado en el podcast Xbox Era, la PlayStation Xbox Game Pass no se centraría en ofrecer un catálogo de juegos para varias plataformas, como hace Microsoft, sino en abarcar un conjunto de servicios. Algo parecido a lo que ocurre con Apple One, que, para quien no lo conozca, es una suscripción que combina diferentes servicios premium de Apple; Apple Music, Apple TV +, Apple Arcade o almacenamiento para iCloud, entre ellos.
En el caso de Sony, sería una suscripción enfocada íntegramente al entretenimiento. La suscripción de Sony incluiría música, películas, televisión, anime y juegos, aunque todavía no está claro si servicios como PS Now o PS Plus entrarían en el catálogo. Según el podcast, Sony no tiene la infraestructura para ofrecer un servicio centrado en el juego, lanzando uno o dos juegos al año. Sin embargo, tiene una posición fuerte en entretenimiento, que sería la que explotaría con este servicio.
