Phil Spencer habla sobre Xbox Game Pass Platinum y su posible llegada a televisores
La presencia de la plataforma de juegos de Microsoft, Xbox, es cada vez más omnipresente. La entrevista realizada en Stratechery establece un plan de crecimiento progresivo para la plataforma Xbox en diferentes áreas. La que ha sido la plataforma Cloud Gaming, xCloud, que ahora se ofrece a través de Xbox Game Pass Android, ha sonado a aparecer en más dispositivos, desde las consolas actuales, a través de PC y sin descartar televisores.

Aunque la entrevista ha guiado en gran medida la respuesta de Phil Spencer a cada aspecto, las respuestas del jefe de la división de Xbox han apoyado estas posibilidades con enfoques muy interesantes. Respecto a la posibilidad de que Microsoft considere la comercialización de hardware específico para xCloud, comenta que «Creo que verá hardware de menor precio como parte de nuestro ecosistema cuando piense en dispositivos de transmisión y otras cosas que alguien podría querer conectar a su televisor y reproducir a través de xCloud». Sería algo parecido a lo que han mostrado algunos usuarios al revelar que Xbox Game Pass Android se puede jugar a través del Chromecast.
De hecho, con respecto a esta opción, Spencer teoriza sobre esta posibilidad como algo factible, donde el usuario no tendría que comprar hardware más caro y podría hacer frente a una suscripción con la que jugar en su televisor vinculando un controlador con el que jugar conectado a internet a través de xCloud. Es algo que incluso Microsoft ya valoró como prototipo en 2016, pero descartado en ese momento. Podría ser algo que ahora si tuviera salida, porque el streaming se ha vuelto popular incluso en el campo de los juegos.
Y de esta misma forma surge una nueva opción de suscripción Pase de juego de Xbox. Spencer ha insinuado la posibilidad de que encontremos un nuevo nivel de suscripción en el futuro, Xbox Game Pass Platinum. Este sería precisamente el servicio que se adjuntaría a la opción de Microsoft de lanzar al mercado ese hardware para televisores. Sería algo similar a lo que actualmente se comercializa como Xbox All Access, pero vinculado a un dispositivo que ofrece acceso a xCloud, oa Xbox Cloud Gaming. Una nueva alternativa que podría servir para ampliar aún más las opciones y accesibilidad de un ecosistema que, en la actualidad, muestra un gran deseo de seguir expandiéndose.
